How To Improve Your English

1. Work&Travel

   The greatest idea is to live in English speaking country for at list 3 months. 

   I know many young people who went to the USA for work as a Work&Travel employee and came back with an impressive improving of their language skills. It was stressful, because most of them really had knowledge at Beginner or Pre-Intermediate Level but 3 months later during a working-talking-practicing-“surviving” in America they really started to talk easy and became some kind of native speakers.  But it's possible only for students, so if you are not - please read further I have more information for you.

    

    

2. Read & Watch

   I am sure you’ve heard that reading books in English helps a lot. But I want to advice to read magazines or blogs in English. Always try to figure out what new words and word combinations mean. I am talking about idioms and slang which are really hard to understand without extra dictionary or internet help. If your level is pre-intermediate / intermediate you may watch BBC, FOX TV, CNN NEWS, TLC channels (one day I’ll write more about it) – it will help you to catch the details about pronunciation and you may not even understand how you start speaking the same. And, finally, my favorite tip: watch series/movies in English and with English subtitles. Push PAUSE every time you misunderstand something and write it down in your notebook or vocabulary. Do it during the movie and after all, sit and translate it, no matter how boring it may seems. If you are really excited with the movie you  will  translate everything fast.   

    

3. Speak

   It really works! Just find someone who speaks  English and talk with him/her as much as you can. Your classmate, friend, sister/brother, unclce etc. everyone who knows English must be your "victim". Discuss more, speak more & be curious.

    

4. Have a goal

   Motivation is a big power. Somebody needs English for work, travelling or marriage. Call it “ambitious intentions” but when a boy wants to study in America and he’s really obsessed with this idea, trust me, he will do it! Or a woman who has a beloved foreigner will learn everything quick. Knowing of English opens many doors in life!

    

   These few tips are written by me very honestly because I know how specific it is to learn a foreign language. And 10 years of tutoring and teaching practices have revealed me the most successful idea
